Aculeus

۞ Aculeus is an open cluster of stars above the stinger of the Scorpion. Aculeus is a companion cluster to Acumen. Both Aculeus and Acumen are known as the “Blind Stars”, because they are associated with eyesight problems and blindness.

۞ Aculeus gives a sharp mind and a good perception, but also warns of a tendency to see the worst rather than the best in everything, as well as a tendency to be either the ‘hellfire and damnation brigade’ or to be fiercely anti-religious.

۞ Aculeus effects the eyesight and causes blindness in one or both eyes if in conjunction with an afflicted luminary, or in conjunction with a malefic that afflicts the luminaries.

۞ According to Ptolemy Aculeus is of the nature of Mars and Moon.

۞ Position of Fixed Star Aculeus in the year 5760 (2000 C.E.): 25°44′ Sagittarius.

۞ Rhodolite is the Birthstone of 25°-26° Sagittarius and the 25th of Kislev.
