۞ Position of Behenian Fixed Star Arcturus in the year 5760 (2000 C.E.): 24°11′ Libra.
۞ Jasper is the Biblical Yashpe. The Yashpe was one of the 12 stones in the Breastplate of Aaron the High Priest and it is the tribal stone of Benjamin. The tribe of Benjamin, the 12th tribe of Israel, is associated with the sign of Pisces which is the 12th sign of the Zodiac. Benjamin, the second son of the matriarch Rachel, was born at the same moment Rachel died. Thus the death date of Rachel is the birthdate of Benjamin. And indeed the Yashpe symbolizes the cycle of birth, death and rebirth.
۞ Green Jasper helps to re-establish lost contact with nature and the Earth. It generates feelings of unity with life and is useful against nausea. [Luc Bourgault]
۞ Green Jasper helps you to release from obsessions and compulsions. It restores balance when one part of your life has become all important to the detriment of others. [Judy Hall — “Moon in Scorpio”]
۞ Jasper is known as the “Supreme Nurturer”. It acts as a reminder that one is not here, on this physical plane, just for oneself, but is also here to bring joy and substance to others, assisting others to release the bonds of constraint. [Melody]
۞ Jasper was often worn by Shamen to provide protection. It holds an aspect of solar energy and a connection to the solar plexus chakra which also helped shaman in their magical practices. It was considered a sacred stone during the performance of, and adherence to, the “old ways” of the Native American Indians. [Melody]
۞ The ancients revered Jasper as sacred, protective, and as a facilitator of safe astral travel. (Jasper was placed over the heart and navel chakras prior to astral travel.) [Melody]
